Hardcastle and McCormick Replicars

Hardcastle and McCormick Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Milton C. "Hardcase" Hardcastle is an eccentric judge known for his strict adherence to the law in both his duties and his dealings with defendants. As he prepares to retire, he notices that the file drawer is full of 200 people who have avoided convictions through the legal process. Inspired by the childhood hero The Lone Ranger, Hardcastle aims to pursue criminals.

Mark McCormick was a smart, cunning car thief. He recently faced a long prison term for the theft of a prototype sports car called the Coyote X designed by his murdered best friend. The judge and the car thief made a deal together, Hardcastle helped McCormick catch the killer, and McCormick agreed to act as the judge's agent (his conditional parole). Additionally, McCormick could keep the Coyote, which proved to be an excellent pursuit tool for their needs.
